Formed in 1959...
Dedicated to the promotion and perservation of the Greenland Dog in the UK
Who are we?
The Greenland Dog Club of Great Britain was formed over 60 years ago and our club officials & members alike are as passionate today about the preservation of this special breed as those who came before us.
Whether it's possessing record holding DNA, boasting critical contributions to a number of historic expeditions or their continued presence in the Danish military, the Greenland Dog breed offers a rich tapestry of fascinating stories and facts.
But our role as a club is not just as custodians of the Greenland Dog's story. As the sole Royal Kennel Club affiliated breed club in the UK, our mission is to provide support and guidance to owners & supporters of the breed alongside offering breed specific education for progressing judges and other interested parties. Our ultimate goal is to promote the the ethical ownership & breeding of fit for function, well tempered, breed typical dogs that continue to embody everything that has made them so valuable throughout history - especially (or occasionally in spite of) that love to pull!
